Review summary

If you are a solo cruiser like I was, I would recommend giving this ship a try! I met a number of wonderful people and very rarely felt lonely. The main time I felt lonely was on my birthday in the steakhouse. I asked to share a table, but none were available so was all alone for my dinner.

Embarkation

Went very smoothly with a transfer from the Hotel Elser.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I tried the main dining room, three of the specialty restaurants, the terrace cafe, bakery, coffee shop and the buffet. I have to admit the buffet became a favorite, but all in all the food was very good and the staff was wonderful.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I did an art class, the cruise stop programs, the solo gatherings, afternoon tea, a couple shows and the spa. All were excellant. I loved the teatime goodies. I want to say the solo gathering hostess was very welcoming and fun to be with.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
All in all, I enjoyed what I saw, but was usually too tired to stay up late enough for the evening shows. Plus, I am not much for going to comedians for a show and two of the shows were him. The piano player in the martini bar was awesome and the music for teatime was very good. There was also a band playing on deck while at sea that I very much enjoyed.

Service and Staff

Everyone was amazing, they made the cruise special.

Cabin / Stateroom

The bed was very comfortable and I loved my balcony. I would have loved to have the balcony door open more often, but it whistled like crazy.

The tour I reserved fell through last minute and the one I did go on was interesting, but a long drive on a noisy bus (couldn't hear the tour guide) and no water or snacks for a trip that was over 5 hours. I did bring a bottle of water, but not everyone did.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Wonderful spot, but WAY too many ships and people in port which left the wait times to get on buses, or boats or tours very long. No time to really enjoy the port.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico Did not visit port

The weather prohibited going here.

Disembarkation

I thought it went very smoothly. The buffet breakfast prior to deboarding was very good.
