This was our first cruise. Probably won't do another

We spent 7 days onboard the Joy on our way to Bermuda. Food and service were both outstanding. Entertainment was also good. Definitely check out the Elements performance as well as the Beatles Tribute band! Both are very popular so be sure to arrive early to secure a seat. Some of the common areas get quite crowded during peak times.

Bermuda was a paradise. People were friendly, it was clean and beautiful. The ship was average at best. Food was subpar, not many options for included food. very little shops. The sports deck was always scheduled with adult activities and the kids hardly got anytime. There was very little activities on the pool decks for cruisers to participate. I think there was one line dancing and one belly flop contest. I have always heard that R.C. was so much better than carnival. Unfortunately this cruise proved otherwise. I will definitely be booking the funship going forward

This was my first time sailing and when I tell you this is the best experience I had in my life! The staff were genuinely nice the people on the land were genuinely nice I would definitely be cruising again! I don't even know where to begin I enjoyed everything about my cruise🩷

Bermuda- Kings Wharf- GORGEOUS weather. Excellent food and service.

We have been cruising since 2006, always with NCL, I will never travel with another cruise line, the best is the free style cruising, we are so happy to be continuing traveling with NCL

The ship is in amazing shape but still needs to take some time off for a refresh of public areas and staterooms. It is long overdue. I did have to reassemble a drawer in my room in order to use it. The room itself is very well laid out and the bed was far larger than I expected. The extra large balcony was huge and high and allowed me time arrive from jurassic park out in the public areas. Most of the passengers are not just "older" they are "old." That is okay, but be aware that Celebrity itself knows that and programs towards it. The majority of your meals will be okay, but there will be a distinct lack of things that the elderly do not like, like salt, seasoning, and apparently high temperature. Do not leave at the last minute for something because you will be slowed down by folks with walkers and their old kids running interference for them. And this being a cruise out of New York/New Jersey (no real difference) the majority of folks will be from there, so set your expectations for that behavior. So in short, get a balcony and have no guilt about using it. When you come out, the ship and the amazing crew will take care of you.

The food was amazing. We traveled NCL several years ago and were not impressed but they have done an amazing job and now I would rate them better than Royal based on my most recent experience.

The cruise was smooth sailing with very nice staff on board. Food was very good. The room was very nice. I just felt the ship was dated in the decor. Chairs in the dining room & around ship showed a lot of wear too. Probably wouldn’t take the Eclipse again.

PLAN way in advance, Make your Specially (paid) dining reservations at least 3 weeks in advance and the same for the production shows. Study all the decks in advance so you know what is where. Do your homework! I even asked on the NCL website what day tthe one production was on... so you can plan accordingly. Also enjoy the OBSERVATION LOUNGE... but on port days it is suppose to be for some hours A QUITE ZONE (NCL needs to have large signed at the entrance and then again in the room. The hogging of deck chairs is still a MESS. and those that do, can be very obnoxious even when a chair is empty for an hour or more. AND IF YOU LIKE THE PRODUCTIONS SHOWS OF THE PAST, PLEASE LET NCL KNOW, THE NEW CHEAP USE OF GAME SHOWS is exactly that = = CHEAP. Plan in advance and ENJOY

The itinerary was nice, but I prefer Carnival. Celebrity was uptight.

We'd do it again. The service on board was excellent. This includes cabin stewards, waitstaff in main dining and buffet. They need more staff for drinks in theater, wait was a bit long. Food on board was some of the best we've had while cruising both in main dining and buffet. A great change. Must be the head chef and staff. Thank you all

We had a great time. weather was great and we did what we wanted to do.

As mentioned in the title of my review ( BJ's travel fumbled the ball )...Was expecting to see a bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries and water...None of these were in the cabin and Cruise Services were not willing to accommodate , for nothing was listed in my profile...

This was our 6th cruise with NCL. We prefer NCL free style cruising and want to experience all their ships. And now that we are Platinum Latitudes members we get extra perks, like extra specialty dining dinners, priority embarkation, and we always do free-at-sea so we get the drink package, flights (buy one get one), some excursion $$$, some free internet minutes (just perfect for us), and other things. So looking forward to all these perks on our next cruise on the NCL Bliss to Alaska in September.

Were charged extra $140 for internet, never got credit back after talking to general manager

I was really impressed with NCL's food and its culinary staff. They were really dedicated to serving good food. Lots of healthy options. Salad bar was wonderful. I only gained 1 pound despite eating more than usual!
