Monarch of the Seas last cruise with Royal Carribean

Ship: Monarch of the Seas
Sail Date: Mar 29, 2013

This cruise exceeded my expectation. All the staff were friendly and always there to help in whatever you needed. It was the last cruise with that ship and a lot of the staff and vacationers got emotional at the end.

Great Cruise and Service

Ship: Monarch of the Seas
Sail Date: Mar 29, 2013

Chose this cruise as it was close to Orlando. Stayed in in Orlando prior to cruise and visited Sea World and Universal Studios and drove 1 hour to Port Canaveral to jump on 3 day cruise to Bahamas. The service in was exceptional and all had a blast. RB

Awesome!

Ship: Monarch of the Seas
Sail Date: Mar 22, 2013

This was our first cruise so we dont really have anything to compare it to, but we are sold with Royal Caribbean! Im pretty sure we will only choose Royal Caribbean from now on because the staff of the Monarch of the Seas set the expectations so high! The staff aboard the ship was amazing! My husband was very leery about cruises and therefore I was hoping the experience would impress him since we had only booked a short cruise! I myself knew I would love it and very much wanted to book a longer cruise next time! well my husband and myself were absolutely blown away with the hospitality and friendliness of the staff!! The ship was nice but nothing about the ship impressed us more than the wonderful staff that made our vacation the most memorable one ever!! We booked our next cruise the day we got home! We are taking all 4 of our children on a cruise this fall! although it will not be on the Monarch, because we were on one of its final cruises, it will be with Royal Caribbean! We are so ...

The Best Vacation Ever!

Ship: Monarch of the Seas
Sail Date: Mar 22, 2013

It was the most amazing Vacation that we ever had. I'm a first time Cruiser!!!, and let's just say, we're definitely going on another cruise, as long as I have money. The only downside was that we didn't receive our $25 cash back and onboard spending. Cruises.com lied to us. That's the only problem we had, but afterwards the food, the activities, the room service.... They were great!!!!! Although the room was kinda small, but I loved looking out to the ocean ( We had the oceanview room)

wonderful

Ship: Monarch of the Seas
Sail Date: Mar 18, 2013

I really enjoyed my cruise as usualy. A little disappointed that the bar service was not what it use to be. Had to wait and get up from my comfortable chair and go get most of my drinks myself which was a disappinting. Over all it was a wonderful time.

This was my Sixth cruise on Monarch of the Seas. Sad to see her move on to another Port. But excited to see what is coming to replace her. Great value, staff, ship, and Port. (Port Canaveral)

You get what you pay for...

Ship: Monarch of the Seas
Sail Date: Mar 18, 2013

I have cruised to Bermuda on NCL and Holland America prior to this cruise and was VERY pleased with both. I must say the Itinerary for the 4 day cruise to Coco Cay & Bahamas was great, but food & entertainment was VERY poor. If this was my first cruise, I probably would not cruise again. Since we have cruised on other lines I know cruising is the way to go with the right cruise line. We traveled with 8 of us and the price per person for the cruise was great, as well as the rooms and housekeeping staff, but cruise personnel outside housekeeping was VERY poor and not helpful. Poor Food , Entertainment & Staff (not including housekeeping).

Deck Plans for Monarch of the Seas

Tips for Monarch of the Seas

Definately go to "The Quest" if you have a great sense of humor and are over 18 yrs old!!! I haven't laughed that hard...well, since the last cruise :)

I'm sad that this ship will no longer be with Royal Caribbean anymore. So long Fare Well Monarch of the Seas!!!

Go to Vincent's for a nice sit down lunch...the salad bar is awesome there.

Always get a seat at the window great view!!

Go to the bare foot beach on the other side of Coco Cay. I also recommend doing the city tour of Nassau! Have fun!

Do the dining halls for dinner and not just all buffets.

The lido deck was good

Go to the Jade for dinner, than your Dining place, Ex: the Vincent or Claude, because you can get your food anytime, and they have all kinds of food/dinner. And BIGGER portions! (The Vincent or Claude restuarant still tastes good) Try the soft serve ice cream cause it's free!

Main Dining WasTheBest!

very relaxing atmosphere

Buffet food is better than dining room!

Room service was great. Did not have to wait long at all.

GO for the dinning room for supper.. it gives a reason to dress up and have a wonderful sit down meal

Nightly shows were excellent.

The breakfast buffet is better than the sit down breakfast.

this was the first cruise we used the dining room for breakfast and would now do so on future voyages.

We like late dining giving us a chance to view the sun set.

C&A area for leaving port. 1$ blackjack on the first night

Go to the dining room, The quality of the food was excellent
