A very relaxing cruise to Paradise

Ship: Ocean Princess
Sail Date: Jan 18, 2012

The ship is much smaller than the ones we are used to sailing on to the Caribbean. But the staff is very friendly and there's more than enough staff to accomodate all the passengers. The ship could use a little updating on the accomodations.

beautiful ship...innappropriate shows

Ship: Liberty of the Seas
Sail Date: Dec 19, 2011

We loved the new boat and surfing, ice, rock wall etc. The con (but I'm sure this is the same on all ships) is the sex and skin in their shows. Their main feature show was considered a family show and was filled with humping and pelvic thrusts etc. We waited in line an hour...were in the 5th row--middle and stood up and walked out after the first 10 minutes.

Our Great Tihitian Cruise

Ship: Tahitian Princess (RETIRED)
Sail Date: Oct 01, 2008

At first we were hesitant about a smaller ship. It turnrd out to be great. We would have liked a bit larger Casino area but we donated our money anyway. The Islands which were visited were great. The locals were friendly and more than willing to educate us on the customs and history on each Island. The cruise staff were all exceptional. Thanks for a great time.

Our best cruise ever.

Ship: Tahitian Princess (RETIRED)
Sail Date: Apr 08, 2008

The ship was extremely well organized - never any lines. The food was consistently excellent and served cheerfully. The cabin was always clean. The shore transportation was frequent and quick, with iced drinks waiting on shore. Best of all was being allowed on board early andallowed to stay on board until our late flight.

A most rewarding experience!

Ship: Tahitian Princess (RETIRED)
Sail Date: Mar 09, 2008

Thoroughly enjoyed our balcony stateroom. We felt like royalty sitting there quietly and enjoying the sailing without having had to pay a king's ransom. The crew was fantastic - so kind, courteous and willing to assist at every turn.

A Month In French Polynesia

Ship: Tahitian Princess (RETIRED)
Sail Date: Feb 18, 2008

We were on the old R4, now known as the Tahitian Princess. We had sailed on the R8 in the Baltic and this ship was the same. The size of the ship made meeting and remembering people very easy. But the food was much better and in the Princess tradition. The Captain was very personable and spent a lot of time with the passengers. These two voyages were his first as a Captain and if they are any indication of his potential he will go far.

Tahitian Princess Cruise

Ship: Tahitian Princess (RETIRED)
Sail Date: Jan 09, 2008

Overall, Princess does a good job on this cruise. The food is good - the service is excellent.. The excursions are limited because French Polynesia has limited facilities and transportation for tourists. Using "La Truck" to see the islands is not recommended for pampered tourists. I recommend tourists be forewarned before they use "La Truck".

Outstanding ship; outstanding islands

Ship: Paul Gauguin (RETIRED)
Sail Date: Dec 01, 2007

The ship felt the most spacious of any we have travelled on. There were quite a number of singles travelling alone, so the ship was not quite full to capacity. Some much larger ships have more dramatic public spaces but have always felt more crowded. On one smaller, expedition ship, the interior space was cramped.

Ports in South Pacific - Tahiti

Papeete, Tahiti (29 Reviews)

The largest of the Society Islands in French Polynesia, Tahiti held a magical attraction for artist Paul Gauguin and writer Robert Louis Stevenson. To understand why, simply listen to the winds whistling through casuarina trees on a secluded black-sand beach, or stroll through beautiful botanical gardens and marvel at island flora. Learn More »

Raiatea, French Polynesia (25 Reviews)

Raiatea is the second largest island of French Polynesia after Tahiti. A tour of the island will reveal lush green valleys, numerous waterfalls, pineapple and vanilla plantations. Discover fascinating underwater scenery within Raiatea's deep lagoon which is rich with fish, and surrounded by mountains. Learn More »

Huahine, French Polynesia (18 Reviews)

Less visited than the other Society Islands, Huahine maintains more of the traditional pace of life. There are ancient fares (temples) to explore, vanilla plantations to view or drives into the hinterlands in 4-wheel-drive-vans. The coral reefs offshore are excellent for snorkeling. Learn More »
