wonderful time

Ship: Carnival Ecstasy
Sail Date: May 16, 2013

The 4 night cruise is the perfect amount of time. The islands were beautiful, especially half moon cay. This Island alone is worth the trip. The ship was very modern, well designed and very comfortable. Our stateroom was spacious and beautiful. We had an exterior ocean view. We chose the open dining which was convenient for us. The service and food in the dining room was exceptional, however the buffet was about the same as your local hometown buffet restaurant.

Carnival Ecstasy May 2013

Ship: Carnival Ecstasy
Sail Date: May 16, 2013

Pleasantly surprised. Great choice since my young grandchildren were with us. However, the pool area was usually packed with lots of young, drunk adults having too much fun (that small children should not be around). The ship was much cleaner than I expected - the crew was constantly cleaning something, Food was good but not great. Our extended balcony grand suite was the bomb! Much larger than we expected. We had the gate between our staterooms opened so it seemed even bigger. Loved the picture opportunities on deck everyday. The prices however are unreasonable. The walls were full of unsold pictures. They could sell so many more if they would lower the price. I would have bought almost every picture had they been priced lower. The grandchildren loved the Water Works deck. We spent most of our onboard time in that facility. Serenity pool and the regular pool was just way to crowded to enjoy. The beach at Nassau was nice but the folks selling chairs, umbrellas, water spo...

Small boat w nothing to do

Ship: Carnival Ecstasy
Sail Date: May 15, 2013

We chose this cruise because of the price. Looking back I would have gladly paid more for a nicer boat. I have been on other cruise lines and this didn't come close to comparing. The food options were limited and the pool was the size of the pool in my backyard. There wasn't very many fun activities to keep us occupied on the boat. We did have fun on their private island, but we could have saved a ton of money and stay at our house by the beach in FL. If this is your first cruise and you don't live by the beach then I would recommend this cruise for the price.... If u don't fit those categories then pay more for a different cruise line! Not impressed carnival!

Ship was old

Ship: Carnival Inspiration
Sail Date: May 13, 2013

Well I could say We had fun at the ports.. On the web site this boat showed there was supposed to be a few different restaurants but that wasn't the case. And the boat seemed old.. We stayed in a grand suite which wasn't to bad.. Just outdated For the money .. And some off the staff were just rude. Our state room host was the best a really nice guy but that's it..they should try and hire more Americans you can understand half of them. I wouldn't do this ship again but would like to try one of there newer ships they look like a lot of fun.. ..

Never again

Ship: Carnival Sensation
Sail Date: May 12, 2013

This was my first cruise. The transportation to and from the cruise ship was fabulous! However when I got on the ship I had no idea where to go or how to get to my cabin. When I did find my cabin it was difficult to know how to get where I wanted to go. The food was terribly average, nothing to write home about. The wait staff in the exstacy dining room are were superb! Very polite and polished. The buffet staff were another story. I was treated rudely by a girl making hamburgers the last night of the trip. She was insulting and belligerent towards me. I was in shock to be treated that way especially on a cruise ship!! If I thought it would have done any good I would have told the Maitre D' if I could have found him! The shore excursion through Freeport consisted of a trip to the perfume factory and then through a plaza that used to be the "hot spot" of the island. Stores were vacant, windows smashed out, fountains out of order, overgrown with grass. You felt if you were alone you...

Very Good Cruise!

Ship: Carnival Sensation
Sail Date: May 12, 2013

This cruise was very good. We were impressed with the crew and how engaged and accommodating they were. The ship is in good shape. The food was good...not much variety but good. The entertainment was very good as well. As the cruise went on the shows got better and the finale was excellent! We are first time cruisers so I have nothing else to compare our experience to, but the overall experience was one that would make us want to go again.

Our cruise on Carnival Ecstasy

Ship: Carnival Ecstasy
Sail Date: May 11, 2013

I had so much fun aboard this cruise. It is a beautiful ship inside. My bed was so comfortable that I had a very good nights sleep. The food was delicous, service was great. I loved the show where people on board showed off their talent. I enjoyed the show "The Brits". I have cruised on Carnival multiple times, but this one was the best ever. Brenda J. Mesquite, TX

What We Love

  • Carnival earns the "Big Bang for the Buck" award with excellent food, large staterooms, top-flight entertainment and superb kids’ programs.
  • Famous Melting Chocolate Cake.
  • Carnival's standard staterooms are among the largest at sea, ranging from 185-230 sq. ft.
  • Outstanding live entertainment ranging from Las Vegas-style floor shows to comedy clubs, piano bars, sports bar, disco and jazz to a string quartet in the lobby.

What To Expect

  • Food and dining: Choose between assigned seating, two-person seating, or open-floor seating that allows you to dine when and with whom you please.
  • "Fun Ship" atmosphere: High-energy with glossy surfaces, neon, fantasy-inspired decor and superb entertainment ranging from high-stepping shows to piano bars and the liveliest casinos at sea.
  • Fellow passengers: During school vacation periods, passengers mostly consist of families. At other times of the year, passengers tend to be 25-50 year old couples and groups of friends. Roughly 30% of passengers are aged 55+.

The Fine Print

Alcohol Policy: One bottle of wine or champagne per person may be brought on board; $10 corkage fee in dining room, $14 in steakhouse.

Gratuities: The total amount is $11.50 per guest, per day, covering room steward, waiter and other staff billed to stateroom.

Children's Program: Camp Carnival offers supervised kids programs in separate facilities for children and teens by age group (2-5; 6-8; 9-11; and 12-15 years old plus special events for teens). Operating from 9:00 am. to 10:00 pm daily.
