I would sail this cruise again. The entertainment on the ship was wonderful. Cocobay Island was the best place ever. I was so relaxed while listening to the One Love Band. We are planning our next cruise for 2014.
When purchasing my pics on the last night of the cruise I arrived at 5:30 pm and not only were my pics misplaced and I had to wait until 10:00 pm, but I was told I could not purchase anything until the ship departed the port and another passenger was able to purchase her items before the ship departed. When I approached one of the photographers, she told me there was a "misunderstanding" but I still had to wait.
The entertainment could have been better through the day.
Went on the Majesty Of The Seas out of the Port of Miami. Bahamas, Coco Cay Island & Key West. It rain most of the day in night in the Bahamas, but we still had a wonderful time shopping, doing the Dolphin Encounter at the Blue Lagoon was Awesome, it is a little costly but worth every penny & memory. Went to Atlantis Hotel was wonderful as always, so much to see & experience. This is a 6 Billion dollar hotel with the Largest Casino in the Bahamas, this is well worth a Taxi ride over. Coco Cay Island is a wonderful place to go & relax, however it got canceled due to bad weather of rain & winds. Key West was great did the Hop on Hop Off Trolley, Higgs Beach was awesome to relax & swim in. Shopping was great with a lot of $5 dollar stores. Majesty of the Seas is a smaller but I can said that the entire staff was Awesome and the Entertainment was Awesome as well. I got to said that I talked with more Staff n Guests on this Ship then any other Crusie. Would Go Again In A Minute, Thanks Roya...
This was my husband and I very first cruise and it was definitely an experience. The ship dn't have many things to do so they created things like scavenger hunts and other kids activities. We we're so disappointed with skipping the coco cat island on our Anniversary at that. It was for safety reasons but no type of accommodations were even giving for the inconvenience of being trapped on the boat for over 24 hours. The food in the windjammer was edible but not desirable in the least. Even the room service food was less than appealing. The only decent meal we had the whole week was in the starlight dining. This cruise ship is definitely for an older crowd. If you want to celebrate your retirement and don't mind bland food. Then THIS IS THE SHIP FOR YOU. Other wise keep the hunt alive.
House keeping was excellent ! Food not so good. Service desk, always long line. Did not go to cococay island . Weather was very rainy. That was a bummer.
Price was good.
My mistake to let ship choose cabin...was hoping to be upgraded, but turns out the ship was full and we were stuck on the 2nd level. Cabin was very small, but since not a lot of time spent there, it was OK.
Would of liked a bucket of ice & water instead of having counter filled up with bottles of water and cans of soda, that were warm and snacks that had to be paid for.
A pen and paper would've been helpful, also.
The crew was awesome, the food in the Moonlight was wonderful. The food in the Windjammer was below par. The food temperature was not hot.
The entertainment was great. Mitch did a terrific job.
I was dissapointed with the location of the cabin next to the service elevator. A room for four that can hardly fit one person. Restaurant table in the dinning room was also
Located next to the work area of the waiters and we can see the trash, food and noise. There was no wall between. Once you have cruised in the better ships for the same cost and less days. I felt I wasted half of my vacation money.
Very disappointed in the ship, my previous Royal Caribbean experience was much better, setting high expectations that were not met on this cruise. The dining options were scarce, with one restaraunt charging for food, all closing early, and the captain's dinner charging extra for lobster and other entrees that are usually part of the meal. All the bars and restaraunts on the pool deck closed early, and the pool area was much smaller than expected. The layout of the ship was not convenient, and the service was not as excellent as previously experienced. I had a much better time and was on a much nicer ship on Carnival last year.
We have never been on a cruise before, so this was a first off experience for us. We usually do not like the "all inclusive" kind of travels, but this was okay for us, because you always have the chance to leave the ship and do your own thing.
We liked: being able to do whatever you want to on the islands, flexible eating times, time to do your own thing, good food, great staff working on the ship - always friendly and helpful
We disliked: have to do the imigration again befor being able to leave the ship for Key West (stole a lot of our time and we were not able to leave the ship before 11:30 am), having to board the ship quite early before leaving Miami
So in all we can totally recommend this cruise.
I have cruised with Royal Caribbean several times and once before on Majesty of the Seas. I have never been disappointed. Not once have I encountered unpleasant crew members, unsatisfactory service or food which was not delicious. All of the ports RC have taken me to have been interesting and fun places to visit.
